I’m putting together a new AAUW Interest Group, “The Salon”.
Historically, “The Salon” was a private social gathering where guests openly discussed various topics, an opportunity to hear different views from others. “The Salon” became a cultural institution in France, as well as in several other European cities and North America.
For our Salons, we will watch a video each month as a group at my house and discuss it. I plan to include several materials from PBS productions, including Tell Me More, Wisdom Keepers, The Women of World War II, American Masters, American Experience, How We Got to Now, The History of the Future, and more.
I must limit the group to 12. And you must be able to climb one flight of stairs.
We meet on the second Monday of every month from 10:00 to 12:00 at my home in Forest Trails, near Iron Springs Rd. at 1906 Sunnyside, Prescott.
